Japan Weekend – one of my favourite events of the year! The André Malraux neighbourhood is transformed into a charming Japanese village to host the Ekiden.
This year, my friends from the Kakemono association built a lovely pavilion and some yattai, under the guidance of the talented Nadia Ben Moheddine.
As for me, I created some lovely panels decorated with yôkai for my stall, as well as matching lanterns, and I must say I was very pleased with the result.
I had the honour of welcoming Consul Oeda and his wife to my stall, as well as the Mayor of Strasbourg, Catherine Trautmann, who even bought a copy of my ‘A Brief Guide to Alsatian Dracontology’!
Japan Weekend is also a chance to catch up with friends – naturally Kakemono, the team from Le Camphrier/Escapade, and my friend Jean-Martin Vincent, amongst others. In short, spring is off to a great start!
